The SITE SIG on Wearable Technology in Education provides an opportunity for researchers and practitioners to explore the potential role of wearable devices in formal and informal learning environments. In recent years, this area has undergone great transformation spurred by the introduction of devices such as Google Glass, Fitbit, and the Apple Watch. While adoption of such products have had mixed results, educators quickly explored their potential as tools for learning.
