Journals:
All SITE journal manuscripts are peer-reviewed by at least two reviewers, of the journal’s international Editorial Review Board of experts in fields specifically matching the journal topics. Papers are reviewed, double-blind, in full publishable form; no journal manuscripts are accepted based only upon submission of an abstract. Reviewers are required to provide the author with comments intended to improve the content, style, and other issues which should improve the quality of the article.
Submission evaluation criteria:
- Value or usefulness to field or profession.
- Adequacy of design/accuracy of analysis.
- Presentation and interpretation of findings, discussion, and conclusions.
- Inclusion of appropriate implications for practice and/or policy.
- Important and timely.
- Consistency with existing literature.
- Overall clarity of ideas and expression.
- References to relevant existing work.
- Grammatical construction; writing style; use of non-sexist language.
Acceptance rate: The acceptance rate for SITE journals is 10-19%.
Indexing: SITE journals are listed in most international citation indexes.
Conferences:
SITE conference submissions are reviewed by at least two reviewers, who are members the conference’s international Program Committee of experts in fields specifically matching the conference topics. Program Committee members provide the vital link with the profession that makes the conference a success.
Papers are subject to a double-blind peer review. Reviewers are required to provide the author with comments intended to improve the content, style, and other issues which should improve the quality of the article. Further details may be found on the Reviewer Guidelines page.
A review of all papers receiving high review scores is undertaken by all the members of the conference Board to nominate outstanding paper awards.
Submission evaluation criteria:
- Potential value/impact of research or developments
- Relevance to conference
- Originality
- Style: Clarity, Length, Originality, Etc.
Program Committee Responsibilities:
- Recruiting Submissions/Publicizing: Helping to generate participation/attendance at the conference by networking with colleagues and disseminating the “Call for Participation.” Please distribute SITE information to your inter-departmental, university bulletin boards, listservs, and calendars. Display the conference poster in a prominent location. Another good suggestion is to add the SITE Conference name and URL (site.aace.org/conf) to your e-mail signature block.

- Advising: Serving as “quality control” by making recommendations for improvements to the program. This includes suggesting useful expansions of the program and ensuring that the conference reflects the state-of-the-art in the profession and includes a balanced representation of groups and interests.
Acceptance rate: The acceptance rate for SITE conferences is 25-39%.
